Together with the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) and the Federal Academy for Cultural Education Wolfenbüttel (ba-), the Aktionsnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit in Kultur und Medien (Action Network Sustainability in Culture and Media) has created an advisory programme to help cultural institutions take on their social responsibility and navigate the ecological challenges of our time. The programme supports them on the path toward a sustainable and climate-friendly future.
Its goal is to enable participating institutions to develop a sustainability process that is tailored to their specific needs. To achieve this, cultural institutions are paired with experienced consultants who guide them throughout the process.
Over six to nine months, the programme offers a collegial, in-house consulting experience. Participants gain practical knowledge, tools, and methods to design new organisational structures, processes, and strategies. These changes help institutions align their operations more closely with sustainability goals. The focus is on ecological measures that are developed step by step and can be implemented gradually, ensuring a manageable and lasting transformation.
